Life, Love and Football.

Well I haven't written anything for months now, It's like after i left basic that i forgot one of my passions ever existed. Life has obviously taking  a huge change for me recently. I married the love of my life on September 4th and it was by far the best decision i've made in my what seems to be getting older life. As of now we are still working out moving our finances around, getting insurance straightened out, and above all realizing more each day how happy she really makes me. Though these next four months apart won't be the best, we have Thanksgiving and Christmas to see each other then we will be moving to my unknown duty station(Thank you for not telling me yet Uncle Sam). Though this is a good stepping stone for us being apart and preparing for my inevitable year long deployment to beautiful Afghanistan. I don't worry about going down range, I just hate having to leave my wife and family. O well though right? That's why we signed our contract to go off and fight for what so many people take for granted, Freedom. I read stories of civilians protesting the war and trying to put the blame on the soldiers who fight it. When our orders simply come from someone above us, sent from someone above them, and so on until it is coming directly from the White House. It is quite saddening to see how many people take there freedom for granted. Though this is not meant to sound like a rant but simply a thought of aggravation i had today.
So after a short dose of life and love lets get down to the serious business of the hour, Football. The season has officially kicked off and I couldn't be more excited. Though my Bengals have been ousted by the Patriots I will never stray from my fanboyism. I'm a firm believer in sticking by your team no matter the circumstances of their season(Hint me being a Bengals fan still). With the NFL season underway of course we have the yearly fantasy leagues. Naturally being a football enthusiast I won my week 1 match up with one of my players still on the field. It is one of those guy things(and select female) that woman never seem to understand. "All you do is look at the screen and if your player does good they earn you points". Sounding so simply that is not at all the case. It is actually quite a challenge to have a successful fantasy season. Though I can proudly and loudly say HOW BOUT THEM BUCKEYES. Starting off what will surely be a strong season 2-0 they just beat #12 Miami(FL) and cemented there spot as #2. It's going to take quite a bit to knock defending champion Alabama off of their rightful place. With that many returning starters you cant argue with the 2009 National Champions being ranked 1st.
